When making a booking in RailX we ask for the following information

Vessel

What we ask for

Why we need it

Where you can find it

Vessel Name

This is so we can find your Vessel and manage any potential delays

You should know this from your shipping line and this is often on the Bill of Laden document (BOL)

Vessel Arrival Date

This is so we can track your Vessel's ETA and manage any potential delays

You should know this from your shipping line and this is often on the Bill of Laden document (BOL)

Port of Arrival

Free Time

Port of Restitution

Container

What we ask for

Why we need it

Where you can find it

Container Number

We need to uniquely identifier your containers

You will know this from your customer / shipping line

Container Size

It is important we know the size so we can allocate the correct rail service(s)

You will know this from your customer / shipping line

Container Weight

It is important we know the weight so we can allocate the correct rail service(s) and final mile provider. It also has a big impact on your carbon emissions

You will know this from your customer / shipping line

Container PIN

We need the Container PIN to release that container for movement. Not to be confused with the release badge.

Hazardous Goods?

We need to understand if the container is hazardous as it (can) affect the price, and rail service or final mile provider we allocate

Tipper required?

We need to understand if the container needs a tipper as this may affect the rail service or final mile provider we allocate

Final Mile

Delivery Address

We need to know where the containers will be delivered. Currently we are limiting this to one delivery address per booking so if you have multiple delivery addresses, these would need to be created as separate jobs

Delivery Date time

For each Container we will need to know the preferred delivery date/time so we can deliver your container appropriately
